*Update 2/22/16* Issue (mostly) resolved with Firmware 4.3.0
When my Fuji X-T1 + XC 50-230mm is extended to 230mm and is focused on something far away, it has a difficult time focusing on a close subject no matter what portion of the close subject is in the focus zone. (In the hummingbird feeder example, the camera is in zone focus, but in moon example, the camera was in single point focus.)
This doesn’t happen if I use my 18-55mm on my X-T1.
And this doesn’t happen to my Canon 7D + 70-200mm f/4L IS.
It is spot on every time in all focus modes (but is not as sharp as the Fuji X-T1).
Single point focus mode on the X-T1 sometimes helps.
But not always. When I shot the moon a few weeks ago…
…if the lens did not have the moon slightly in focus, it would not focus on it in any focus mode. I had to zoom wide first to help the camera get the moon back into focus. I had to do this multiple times. And I can reproduce this behavior anytime.
Has anyone also experienced this?
Does anyone using the XF 55-200mm experienced this issue, too?
